The Blind Leading The Blind

I find it astonishing how politicians and citizens on the left and far left in California continue to give Gavin Newsom and his administration a pass for the dismal state of California.

The endless high-speed rail debacle, the homelessness crisis, skyrocketing taxes, the crushing cost of living, and an affordability crisis that continues to squeeze hardworking families. Yet somehow, they manage to blame President Donald J. Trump for California’s own crappy policies and failures.

Sixteen years of Democratic governors in Sacramento and years of Democratic mayors running Los Angeles, yet Trump is somehow responsible for the mess they’ve created. At what point does accountability replace political loyalty?

California was once a beacon of innovation, technology, entertainment, agriculture, and intellectual achievement. A state that represented opportunity, ambition, and prosperity. Today, hardworking taxpayers are left footing the bill for failed policies, government mismanagement, and a political establishment that refuses to accept responsibility.

And now, with Xavier Becerra seeking the governorship and Los Angeles continuing down its progressive DSA political path, I fear California is heading even further in the wrong direction.

You cannot blame Trump for California’s disastrous state policies. You cannot spend billions of taxpayer dollars without measurable results and call it progress. And you certainly cannot keep supporting the same political leadership while expecting different outcomes.

California doesn’t lack resources, talent, or opportunity. It lacks accountability.
