Tyranny of Semantics

If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

I don’t believe any word should be banned.

We live in a country built on freedom of speech and expression. That isn’t a side note, it’s a foundational pillar.

Once you start banning words, you’re not protecting society, you’re policing thought.

There are people who walk around actively looking to be offended, as if outrage gives them relevance. I don’t live that way.

If I don’t like the language someone uses, I’ll remove myself.

If they ask why, I’ll tell them.

That’s called personal agency.

But I will never demand that someone surrender their words to accommodate my comfort.

Freedom means tolerating speech you dislike, not silencing it.

Words are not weapons.

Fragile minds make them so.
