The last two seasons of, The White Lotus were incredible and I couldn’t wait for the next episode each week. But this season? I find I am forcing myself to watch. There’s not a single redeeming likable character, just a collection of selfish, unappealing people. And no comic relief like the last two seasons.
This week, episode five, I had to sit through a scene with two blood-related brothers, start making out. Something I never expected or wanted to see.
On top of that, Sam Rockwell’s character goes on a rant about wanting to be an Asian woman and loves getting reamed in the ass.
No redeeming characters, no engaging story and this week just shock value. I don’t think I’ll even finish this season. Maybe they wrote and filmed it expecting a Joe Biden win, or maybe Kamala Harris win, thinking there’d be people applauding this mess.
The best part of season three is the landscapes and cinematography of Thailand.
I like much of Mike White’s work, but for me, this season of, The White Lotus is turning out to be just trash.
