Distraction for sanity.

What activities do you lose yourself in?

Writing, listening to and creating music, a cool breeze on a warm day and riding my motorcycle on a beautiful day.

Writing as a creative way to express myself. Whether for myself or not. I can go back and read what I wrote in the past and investigate how the subject of the piece changed or stayed the same.

Music is a true form of therapy for an artist. A temporary escape from the what is “perceived as reality”. Sinking into a deep organic meditation without rules Picking up an instrument and bearing your soul to the universe of one.

The cool breeze flowing around you on a warm day is one of many experiences that can freeze an activity in its place while you ruminate the jubilation of that moment. It also could be a warm breeze on a cool day. A natural biological unexpected joy.

Riding my Harley-Davidson on a beautiful sunny day cruising the Pacific Coast Highway and through the canyons. The only track of time is the location of the sun.

  1. We just talked about buying a couple of bikes. No helmet laws here… And PCH is the best drive along with those canyons. I remember riding through Carbon Canyon and out to Black Star too. Great memories.
