In the United States, we live in a secular republic where prayer was removed from public schools to accommodate non-believers.
This decision aligns with the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which establishes the separation of church and state, stating that no law shall respect the establishment of religion or prohibit its free exercise. Interpretations of this amendment vary based on individual perspectives.
In the 1960s, the U.S. Supreme Court banned school-sponsored prayer in public schools in Engel v. Vitale, citing that it would violate the First Amendment.
Students are allowed to meet and pray on school grounds, provided they do so privately and do not pressure others to participate. However, teachers promoting religion and prayer during class can face disciplinary action.
In recent times, there has been a growing acceptance of educators promoting various sexual ideologies and identities in classrooms, even when parents express objections and concerns about exposing their children to such topics.
This raises questions about consistency in applying the same legal standards.
Government officials, politicians, and mainstream media outlets often criticize parents and children who believe schools should not promote sexual promiscuity, while prayer remains prohibited.
This perceived hypocrisy suggests that personal beliefs and opinions are being advanced in schools without the same scrutiny faced by religious practices.
Parents have the right to raise their children according to their values and provide them with the tools they need to succeed in society.
They also have the right to advocate against what they consider inappropriate for their young children.
Shouldn’t the same standards apply equally to both religious and sexual education in schools?

Thanks for pointing that out Robert. Yes I agree with what you are saying, however I think it is part of a bigger picture. I don’t have a lot of time to explain my opinion at this time, but I will come back to this.

I’ve been thinking about this and how to share my opinion honestly … With out addressing the topic of the ideology specifically and to emphasize why I think violation of the 1st amendment is being perpetrated keeps bring me back to this prominent perspective that I have…
I can not make generalized statements about large groups of people, because I only have direct experiences with individual people I interact with or have interacted with… And based on that – I can make an assertion of what I think.
I think that those of us who were born in this created country of the United States – truly are blessed . We really lucked out being born here! We have been told about our human rights, but I wonder how many take this for granted and have become very entitled . I personally feel that what we enjoy – as being an American citizen should be thought of as a privilege – something to be truly thankful for …
A government of the people for the people and by the people is a beautiful statement, but it is not true… A large swath of the population is not smart enough to uphold this! It is easier to fool people than it is to teach them how they are being fooled… We know who said this… Right? Some folks rather complain about things going wrong than do something about it. How can enough people come together to hold the government to be accountable when they can barely hold themselves accountable to their own chaotic un – organized lives…
I’ve gained a lot through listening to many pod casts of very articulate and insightful authors and academics… I picked up a lot from Noam Chomsky , although I am NOT a disciple of his by any means… I will say though, with personal certainty – Walter Lippmann is correct in what he was saying ! So was Edward Barney’s and Machiavelli ! They were very practical in how to deal with the manufacturing of a conscious , creating necessary illusions that create societal changes…
I want to see Trump win the 2024 election, but if he does, he can not waive a magic wand and fix things… He will be met with continued opposition and the ride for all of us will continue to be very rough… This country of ours is being weaken from with in and it started before we were born Robert.
It really upsets me to see how the global elites and the WEF operate and how they use legacy media and politicians to hustle contrived narratives. What upsets me more, is how some people accept what is being propagated as real !
I could go on, but I’m going to stop here…
Thank you for reading some of my thoughts about this.
